A studio session explained

Your design consultation will last around 45 minutes, where we'll listen closely to your needs and ask key questions. This information helps us craft a proposal for your new space, refining it until it perfectly suits you.

We find that customers often know they like certain elements, like a tile or vanity, but are unsure of the next steps. We use these preferences as foundational pieces to design the entire room.

Equally, if you're unsure where to start, that's fine too. We'll discover what you like and dislike, using examples to identify your style. Often, eliminating what you don't want helps us find the perfect fit.

During the consultation we can create mood boards by setting out tiles, cabinet colours, paint samples, grout colours, tap samples and all the other little details to make sure they are just so.

After gathering your details, we'll create a 3D bathroom design using software with a vast library of real items from manufacturer catalogues. This allows you to see accurate sizes, shapes, how doors and screens interact, colour representations, and lighting effects, ensuring everything is perfect for you.

We charge a nominal fee of £149 for the design process, which is then refunded when you place your order with us, subject to minimum spend.

Step by step process

Where to find us

Book a design session

Booking an appointment with us is as straightforward as the design session itself.

You can contact us on the phone or via email, pop into our studio, or book a session directly in our calendar.

Tap in to bathroom design expertise, powerful 3D design software, our structured briefing system, and tailored, curated options for you.

How does a design consultation work & how long does it take?

Your design consultation will typically last around 45 minutes per room. We’ll listen closely to your needs and ask key questions, and from that we’ll take the time to craft a customised proposal for your new space.  Consultations can be made faster if you already have information to hand or you are short of time, and can take longer if you want to savour the process and drill down in to detail!

After the meeting we’ll do the legwork, and when your proposal is ready we’ll invite you back in for a presentation where you’ll be able to see the whole package of layouts, 3D renders and samples. This is a great opportunity to make revisions, consider options, and refine your perfect bathroom.

How do I prepare for a consultation?

Prior to the meeting you can send us sketches, architect’s drawings, photos, Pinterest boards, fill in our style questionnaire, or none of the above. We often find customers already know they like certain elements, be that a tile, a vanity unit, or a colour, and we can build on that. Equally you may have a blank slate, and we can help discover your likes and dislikes with examples. Often, knowing what you don’t like is just as helpful as knowing what you do.

What do I get?

An initial design consultation, a personalised design presentation, 2 layout and colourway proposals, a 3D design with 3 revisions, and a detailed kit list.

When you approve the design you’ll get a line-by-line itemised quote, and when you place your order over £2500 per room your initial design fee is refunded, and you’ll also get dimensioned, annotated layout plans for your fitter. We’re always happy to discuss details and technicalities with you and your fitter.

We find in the large majority of cases this number of revisions allows for a finalised design the customer is delighted with and the fitter has approved for practicality, however, we appreciate some building projects evolve and some decisions require marinating! See Extended Services below for more information on continuing support.

Extended Services

We are very happy to help with additional support beyond the services and revisions listed above, at £45/h payable in advance 2h at a time. In most cases taking additional instructions and providing a design revision will take 2 hours, and we’ll keep you informed of fees and timescales throughout. Please note that extended design fees are not refundable against your bathroom order.

What do I need to do?

There are some things we need from you in order to successfully work on your design, however you can be as hands on or hands off during the design process as you prefer.

Initially all we need is a layout sketch or architects plans of your bathroom, and we’ll ask if we need any clarification. The more info we get in the initial consultation the better, and we do need feedback on proposals. We get that sometimes projects move on or requirements change, and if we don’t hear from you for 8 weeks we’ll archive your project. We’ll keep it on file for 6 months, and when you are ready to continue further work will be charged under the hourly Extended Services.

Aftercare

Sometimes fitters may have questions during installation. We are always happy to coordinate with you or your fitter to provide clarification and technical support.
